Test-optional this yearAs a reminder: We are asking students to make a decision about whether they will submit test scores at the time that they apply. To provide a fair and equitable process for our more than 50,000 applicants, students will not be able to change their mind after submitting the application, with one exception: If an applicant indicated they wanted test scores considered and their test was canceled, they may email askabuckeye@osu.edu to request a change to test optional. |
Enrollment highlightsOhio State welcomed our largest class of new incoming first year students this autumn: 8,602! Included in this count were record-high numbers of underrepresented minority students and non-Ohio students. This class also contributes to the largest undergraduate student enrollment ever on the Columbus campus. Read the 2020 Enrollment Report. |

Counselor website updatesOur counselor website and portal have been updated just for you, offering expanded content and resources like information about our advisory board, fly-in and events.
We’ve also updated our requirements for the counselor portal. As an enhanced security measure, all school counselors who access the counselor portal (to check student applications, decisions and merit awards) will be asked to create a guest account.
To request a guest account:
-
Go to hscounselors.osu.edu and click on the Counselor Portal tab.
-
Click "Request Login Credentials" and complete the registration form. Note: Date of birth is a university requirement.
Once your account and school email address are confirmed, we’ll email instructions for activating your account and setting your password.
For assistance with this process, please reach out to Julee Conrad. |
